Contact a licensed professional for installation. Gas lanterns are supplied with burners designed for natural gas ONLY. The gas supply should be maintained at 7" of water column pressure. Gas lanterns are supplied with burners designed for 1/4" copper gas lines. All connections should be checked for leaks before lighting lanterns.
Gas lanterns are not to be installed on combustible surfaces. Lanterns must have a minimum clearance of 18" to a combustible material. Do not install lanterns where they could make human contact. Gas lanterns are very hot when operating and any contact could result in burns. These lanterns are for outdoor use only.

Be sure the fixture valve is in the off position before turning on the main shut-off gas valve.
Hold a long match over the gas lantern's burner surface and turn on the fixture gas valve.
If the burner does not light, immediately turn off gas valves and wait several minutes before you try again. YOU MUST WAIT TO LET GAS CLEAR OUT OF THE FIXTURE BEFORE RELIGHTING.
Once fixture is lit, adjust the flame by using the fixture's gas valve. The flame should be no bigger than 1 1/2 inches.
ANY CHANGES MADE TO FIXTURES OR BURNERS VOIDS ALL FACTORY WARRANTIES. -
Our lanterns do not come with automatic igniters. If your lantern has one installed, you most likely received your product from our retailer, New Orleans Gas and Electric Lights. Please contact them through their website if you are experiencing problems with your igniter.

We do not sell electric lighting kits with our lanterns, we sell our products to be manually lit with natural gas.

We do not sell replacement glass. If your glass is damaged, contact your local hardware store for glass to be fitted to your lantern.
